Gilba Road, Girraween – Pedestrian Threshold

Active Civil Group delivered a targeted upgrade on Gilba Road, Girraween, featuring new drainage, footpath, kerb and gutter, and a raised pedestrian threshold to improve safety and amenity.

The works combined precision installation of RCP piping and pits with durable concrete and asphalt treatments, resulting in a robust, low‑maintenance outcome for the local community.

  • 45 lm of 375 mm RCP installed with 3 pits, lintels and grates

  • 140 m reinforced concrete footpath constructed

  • 60 lm of new kerb and gutter installed

Precision drainage installation

  • Installed 45 lineal metres of 375 mm RCP for reliable stormwater management.

  • Constructed three pits complete with lintels and grates to improve capture and flow capacity.


Safer pedestrian access

  • Delivered a brand‑new raised pedestrian threshold to calm traffic and increase visibility at crossing points.

  • Designed to improve accessibility and safety for all users.


Durable footpath and interface works

  • Constructed 140 metres of reinforced concrete footpath for a smooth, long‑lasting pedestrian route.

  • Installed 60 lineal metres of kerb and gutter to improve edge definition and drainage performance.


High‑performance pavement

  • Laid 150 square metres of deep‑lift asphalt to provide a stable, even surface and extend pavement life.

  • Achieved a clean tie‑in with surrounding surfaces for a seamless finish.
